3. What are three types of problem solving levels? please give examples.
(5pts)
Dennis's answers
Three types of problem solving levels are routinized, limited, and extensive. Routinized response is buying the same product over and over because of experience with the product. For example, when buying Friday the 13th on DVD, on may buy all sequals to the DVD because he or she was satisfied with the first. Limited problem solving is trying to decide which type of the needed product to purchase. For example, if someone is trying to buy a television and know they want a television but are unsure of what kind of television they are seeking. The consumer would get help from employees and use limited effort in making a decision. Extensive problem solving requires a lot of effort. For example, if someone is trying to buy a new car, he or she will ask friends, look up reviews, speak with mechanics, and talk to car salesmen about which product is better.
